Fun and easy to make cocktail recipes
Fun Brunch Cocktail Recipes - Bloody Mary, Sweetheart Cocktail and more
Special cocktails are the perfect complement to a relaxed brunch with your favorite crowd in attendance. I've included a mix of popular favorites and unique spins to the classics. If you're the party planner, take it easy on yourself and make up one batch of two or three different libations - then all you do is rim the glasses, add ice, and pour the cocktail-of-choice for each guest's order. We've also found that guests love to play with the different rimming Lime Tree Cove rimming spices - don't be afraid of putting out your Barmaid with the spices and let your guests have at it!

This next cocktail is very simple, but tasty and nutritious. I've wowed lots of people with this, as it includes a 'superfruit' juice that's very popular. I created this cocktail a few years ago for a catered brunch of about 200 thirsty Parrot Heads - we really had to work to keep up with demand (and yes, we batched in advance and they still downed them at record rates).
This recipe uses: Hawaiian Black Lava Salt
The Rum Daddy's Bloody Amazon
Ingredients Needed:
- 1 part white/platinum rum (may substitute vodka)
- 3 parts tomato juice
- 1 part goji juice (goji juice has tomato and umami (soy/meaty) flavor notes; it really goes great with the tomato juice as long as you don't overwhelm the cocktail with it)
- Worchester Sauce to taste
- Hot Sauce to taste
- Dash lemon juice
- Lemon or lime wedge
- Ice
- Lime Tree Cove Hawaiian Black Lava Salt

Directions:
- Mix Tomato Juice, Rum or Vodka, and Goji Juice
- Add worcester sauce, hot sauce, and lemon or lime juice to taste and adjust (see warning about spices above).
- Wet each glass rim with the fruit wedge and use your Barmaid Drink Rimmer to add Hawaiian Black Lava Salt

The color contrast of the rimming spice with the gorgeous color of the cocktail will impress, I promise.
There are a couple of versions of this, but this is the one I like the most: It's a user-friendly version of Master Mixologist Julie Reiner's recipe at the Flatiron Lounge in NYC:

This recipe uses: Chocolate Raspberry Cocktail Sugar
Sweetheart Cocktail Recipe
Ingredients Needed:
- 4 parts tequila (plata/silver preferred)
- 1 part strawberry liqueur or Bacardi Dragonberry Rum
- 1 part orange liquor (Triple Sec or Cointreau)
- 1 part fresh lime juice
- 1 part sour mix
- 4 parts muddled strawberries (fresh is better, but if the quality isn't there, go with the frozen ones)
- Lime wedge
- Ice
- Lime Tree Cove Chocolate Raspberry Cocktail Sugar

Directions:
- Mix Tequila, Rum, Triple Sec, Sour Mix, Lime Juice.
- Add strawberries and pour over ice
- Shake ingredients in a cocktail mixer or well-sealed container (you don't want to bathe yourself in strawberries - or maybe you do................)
- Wet each glass rim with the lime, and then use your Barmaid Drink Rimmer to rim the glass with the Lime Tree Cove Chocolate Raspberry Cocktail Sugar
.
The cocoa notes of the rimming sugar join the strawberry and tequila in a luxurious marriage of flavor.

The Classic Bloody Mary recipe is excellent. I made it this weekend. Instead of using a lime, I used a slice of the lemon I used for juice. Worked excellent.
