St. Patricks Day Cocktail Recipes - Irish Coffee Cocktail Recipe

St. Patricks day is coming up on Thursday, March 17th. There is more to St. Patrick's day cocktails than green beer, Guiness, or Jameson. Also for those of you planning to make Black and Tans... use Harp. No true Irishman would ever mix Irish Stout with English ale.

Our first cocktail for St. Patrick's Day is the Irish Coffee. This popular warming libation was actually invented in Ireland during the late 1940’s. A wonderful mix of caffeine, alcohol and sweet cream revives the chilled and relaxes the soul.

This recipe uses: Lime Tree Cove Sweet Mint Cocktail Sugar   OR Lime Tree Cove Gingerbread Cocktail Sugar   .

Irish Coffee Cocktail Recipe

Ingredients needed:

• 2 1/2oz Irish Whiskey
• Black Coffee
• Whipped Cream
• 1/2 ounce simple syrup or 2 tsp Sugar
• Lime Tree Cove Sweet Mint Cocktail Sugar   OR Gingerbread Cocktail Sugar  

Directions:

1. Select glassware that can hold hot liquids. Moisten rim with a lemon or orange slice, and use your Barmaid Drink Rimmer to rim the glass with Lime Tree Cove Sweet Mint Cocktail Sugar   OR Gingerbread Cocktail Sugar  
2. Add Irish Whiskey, coffee and sugar (if desired).
3. Top with whipped cream
4. Dust with Lime Tree Cove Sweet Mint Cocktail Sugar   OR Gingerbread Cocktail Sugar  .
5. Enjoy!
