Rum and Beer Holiday Cocktail - Brew Rum Pum Pum Pum

The last several Holiday Cocktails have been fun, festive, and traditional. Now, are you looking for something different for that holiday dinner party? Here’s a new, great cocktail from Pablo Pelaez of Brittany Sales. Pablo’s not only a great guy; he’s a rum and mixology expert. His holiday cocktail is called ‘Brew Rum Pum Pum Pum’ and it is wonderful with beef and roasted meats. We tried it out on a damp cool night in Key West. Yes, it occasionally does get cooler than just ‘hot’ down there. I’ll admit its all relative, but this cocktail really went down smooth, especially with the right food.

Brew Rum Pum Pum Pum

Ingredients needed:

  • 2 ½ oz. Plantation XO Rum (you may substitute any good amber aged rum if you can’t find Plantation, but Plantation works great in this cocktail)
  • 12 oz. stout (or substitute a good dark brew)
  • Lime Tree Cove Gingerbread Sugar Rimmer
  • Orange slice

Directions:

  1. Chill the stout until cool but not cold.
  2. Moisten glass rim with the orange slice, and use your Barmaid Drink Rimmer to rim the glass with Lime Tree Cove Gingerbread Cocktail Sugar   Rum Beer Cocktail Recipe
  3. Pour the rum into the glass, and then add the stout.
  4. Sit down to your favorite grilled or roasted meat, and savor the fabulous flavor complexities. Outstanding!

How to make a Holiday Eggnog Cocktail Video

The last two Holiday Cocktails have been fun, festive, new takes on martinis. This week, we have a Winter Classic - The Eggnog Cocktail. Because Eggnog is thick, and full of flavor, you can mix it with many different spirits including Rum, Brandy, Bourbon or Whiskey, and Vodka. The glassware can make this drink take different forms. For example, you could serve Eggnog Martinis in martini glasses or you could have an Eggnog punch in punch glasses.
