  1. Ensure the glassware is properly wet with a fruit slice
  2. Keep the glass interface in contact with the glassware
  3. Do not press the button too much or you risk causing the interface to clog
  4. The glass interface will spin freely as you go around the rim. You do not need to rotate The Barmaid.
  5. The smaller nub on the glass interface goes on the inside of the glass.

Mojito Glass:

Hold the glass vertically. The shape of this glass often makes it the easiest to rim.

Highball Glass:

Martini Glass:

Tilt the glass significantly to allow the glass interface contact the side of the glass. This type of glassware is the hardest to rim. Martini glasses cannot be rimmed when filled with liquid.

Plastic "Keg" Cup:

Plastic cups need to have significantly wet rims to get the spice to stick. The other issue with plastic cups is the large plastic lip at the top. Tilt the glass to allow the glass interface contact the side of the glass.

Other Tips and Tricks:

  • To wet the rim, use a fresh slice of fruit (lime, lemon, orange) work best. Apple and pineapple will work well. Water or alcohol do NOT work at all to wet the rim.
  • To create picture perfect rims, add a bit if sugar to the fruit slices. This can be easily done by adding a pinch of sugar over the slices in a bowl and squeezing 1 slice over the mixture.
  • If all else fails, use The Barmaid over a sink.
